Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for Receptionists for a Client in the Northeast of Calgary.
We are looking for a receptionist to manage the front desk and perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact, as you greet and welcome guests. You will be responsible for coordinating front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. To be a successful candidate, you must have a pleasant disposition (as this is a customer facing role), ability to multitask, attention to detail and skills with stress management.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Greet and welcome guests
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail
- Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
- Update calendars and schedule meetings
- Arrange travel and accommodations, and prepare vouchers
- Keep updated records of office expenses and costs
- Perform other clerical and receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying and faxing
Qualifications and Skills
- High School/GED
- Diploma or Certificate in Office administration/management is preferred
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to type 40-70 wpm
- Excellent organization skills
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Customer service attitude
