Job Full Description
An Edmonton client is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team.
CNC Machinist Highlights:
· Operate CNC lathes, mills, and other production equipment to machine rotary-shouldered connections per API Product Specification 7 and work orders.
· Work independently to run assigned machinery, ensuring safety and production efficiency.
· Conduct first-run tool proofing and provide feedback to programming to improve accuracy and run time.
· Set feed, speed, and depth of cut controls without supervision.
· Apply optimal part-holding techniques for precision machining.
· Follow all company-established safety guidelines and procedures.
· Measure manufactured components using precision instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and the Gagemaker MRP system.
· Interpret blueprints and machine parts to print specifications using lathes, mills, shapers, or grinders.
· Set tooling and apply offsets as needed for various jobs.
· Requirements:
· Journeyman Machinist certification is required.
· High school diploma or GED is necessary; Machinist Apprentice or CNC certification is an asset.
· 3-5 years of experience operating manual/CNC lathes and mills.
· Proficiency in machining with OD and ID calipers, steel rules, and other related hand tools.
· Familiarity with Fanuc, Mazatrol, Fagor, and Siemens controls is an advantage.
· Experience working with API Rotary Shoulder Connections.
· Ability to interpret blueprints and use precise measuring instruments.
· Forklift and Overhead Crane certification is a plus.
· Material handling experience with 31 ft long tubulars is a significant asset.

· Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM
· $37 - $42/hour
