Job Full Description
An Edmonton client is seeking a Shipper/Receiver Hybrid to join their team.
Shipper/Receiver Hybrid Highlights:
· Shipment Coordination: Coordinate the shipment and delivery of materials by contacting carriers and issuing clear shipping instructions.
· Verify Shipments: Ensure the accuracy of both incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing contents with manifests, invoices, or orders.
· Documentation Preparation: Prepare essential shipping documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and packing slips.
· Material Handling: Use equipment like hand trucks to move materials and deliver them to appropriate departments efficiently.
· Packing & Labeling: Pack, seal, and label materials for shipping, ensuring that all items are correctly prepared for transit.
· Shipment Records Management: Maintain detailed and accurate records of shipments, including space availability, charges, and discrepancies.
· Parts Department Maintenance: Ensure that the parts department remains clean, organized, and adheres to all safety protocols.
· Safety & Training Support:
· Onboarding Support: Assist in onboarding new employees and help conduct safety training as needed, ensuring that all team members follow the company’s safety policies.
· COR Safety Program Participation: Actively participate in the company’s COR safety program, ensuring that all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with safety standards.
· Inventory Management:
· Requisition & Stock Control: Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies, maintaining an adequate inventory for smooth operations.
· Qualifications:
· Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Experience: Proven background in an industrial safety and warehouse environment.
· Certification: Reach Forklift Certification is required.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic computer systems, including Microsoft Windows, MS Word, email, and data entry.
· Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
· Organizational Skills: Well-organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Adaptability: Flexibility to handle changing work demands while maintaining attention to detail and efficiency.
· Independence: Ability to work independently while adhering to company safety policies and procedures.

· $21/hour - $28/hour
Monday to Friday | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
