Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson/ Apprentice Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various carpentry tasks, including installation, restoration, and maintenance of structures. This role requires a strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Journeyperson Carpenter will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship while ensuring projects are completed on time and to specifications.

Duties

  • Perform installation of various structures, including roofs, drywall, and flooring.
  • Restore and repair existing structures to maintain safety and functionality.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete carpentry tasks.
  • Interpret blueprints and schematics to execute projects accurately.
  • Conduct heavy lifting as required for materials and equipment during installations.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and project managers regarding progress and any issues that arise.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry work.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems related to carpentry tasks is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the workday.
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in construction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
  • A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
