Job Full Description
Job Summary: The Design Team Purchasing position will include:
- Purchasing components and supplies for the company with a focus on the electromechanical design department
- Sourcing new components and suitable alternates for existing components
- Negotiating competitive pricing
- Regularly checking in on high priority items to help meet deadlines
- Developing good working relationships with vendors, manufacturing partners, and other external parties while also holding them accountable on pricing and deadlines
- Working closely with vendors, supply chain, electromechanical design team, and other internal staff to verify all required components and supplies are available and procured when needed
- Identify supply chain problems, propose suitable solutions, implement the solutions, and maintain supply chain integrity
- Position may also include other tasks as required.

Compensation:
- Annual compensation will start in the range of $75,000 to $100,000 depending on applicant's experience, credentials, and performance.

Applicant Qualifications:
- Legally entitled to live and work in Canada
- Basic computer skills
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently, and good collaboration with staff and clients
- Good organizational skills
- Understanding of basic electrical components and mechanical hardware
- Maintain professionalism in the workplace, remains composed under pressure while meeting deadlines, maintaining regular schedule with occasional extended hours
