Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a CPA designation and a strong background in public practice. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing client accounts, preparing financial statements, tax returns, and providing consulting services. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in public practice and a passion for delivering high-quality financial services.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for individuals, corporations, and trusts.

Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

Provide advisory services to clients on tax planning, accounting matters, and financial strategies.

Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing training and guidance as needed.

Ensure timely and accurate completion of projects, particularly during tax season.

Stay up to date with current tax laws and accounting principles.
Qualifications:

CPA designation (required).

Minimum 3 years of public practice experience.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial reporting.

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, CaseWare, or similar).

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Hours:

Tax Season (January to April): Longer hours, typically 60 hours per week.

Off-Season (May to December): More flexible hours with a reduced workload, typically 35 hours per week.
