Job Full Description
Our client, an established company for over 80 years as a leader in the manufacture and sale of skylights, sun tunnels, roof windows, sun screening products, as well as smart home solutions is adding to their team! The Outside Sales Representative position is primarily a business development role that requires an experienced individual who is confident when discussing construction and design with architects, home builders, roofers and other industry professionals in both residential and commercial applications. Further, the candidate must be competent in general sales, business development and account management with established and new customers. Overnight travel is required as well as occasional evening and weekend work when needed.
Job Description:
- Meet and assess the construction professional’s needs and present recommendations from a broad range of residential and commercial skylight products.
- Find new sales opportunities from existing and new customers.
- Make sales presentations and hold seminars to individuals and groups.
- Establish long-term relationships with existing and new dealers.
- Effective territory management to achieve set goals.
- Perform installation training to professionals
- Service installed products.
- Establish long-term relationships with industry professionals across territory.
- Report daily activities through established CRM reporting methods.
- Work trade and home shows as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous outside sales experience is required, with a preference for sales experience involving construction, windows, and doors.
- Superior commitment to customer service with a focus on value-added selling.
- Excellent self-management, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong presentation and telephone skills.
- Available to work weekdays and some evenings/weekends.
- Available to travel to the Interior of BC every 2 months or so for a week at a time.
- A valid driver’s license and proof of a clean driving record required.
- Knowledge of the Internet, MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required.
- Ability to occasionally lift >50 lbs.
- Ability to climb a ladder and not be afraid of heights.
