Job Full Description
We are currently seeking to hire Process Operators for our client's Bio Separation and Protein Fractionation facility located in Abbotsford.
Job Details:
- Handling frozen Raw Materials (Animal Origin) as well as dealing with Hazardous Materials
- Continuous training which could take up to 4 months.
- Full Time (40 Hour Week Mandatory)
- Graveyard Shift- 11:00PM. - 7:00AM
- Afternoon Shift- 3:00PM - 11:00PM
- $20.63 - $22.85 per hour
Skills/Requirements:
- To be considered for the position, you must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship and be 19 years of age or older
- Comfortable working in wet and noisy environments
- Required to consistently lift up to 22.7kgs (50lbs)
- Requires good distance vision and color perception ability.
- Should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
- Able to multi-task and complete required tasks during the shift
- Working both independently and in a team, so being a strong team player is crucial
- Fluent in communicating in English, both written and verbally
Responsibilities:
- Operating production equipment during manufacturing, either individually or as part of a team, to ensure that production meets scheduled requirements specified for the shift.
- Recording data to ensure that the chemical levels meet the required specifications. Additionally, you will be responsible for manufacturing products according to the required specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensuring the quality and safety of all products produced, as well as maintaining a clean environment in accordance with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensuring that proper ingredients and appropriate quantities are used in production. This will involve weighing and measuring the raw ingredients and checking them for accuracy and documenting in data sheets
- Responsible for setting up the equipment and calibrating the measuring instruments. You will also be expected to identify and correct machine malfunctions where possible or report them to the Production Supervisor or maintenance team for advice and correction.
- Work from written or verbal instructions, diagrams,or models
Assets:
- Having your own transportation with a valid driver's license.
- Prior knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
- Prior work experience in pharmaceutical or manufacturing companies
- Education beyond Post-Secondary School
- Reside in Abbotsford
