Job Full Description
We are hiring an experienced Construction Worker for our client Maple Ridge, a full-service insulation company that handles both residential and commercial projects. This position has the potential to evolve into a foreman role
Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate should possess both leadership skills and hands-on experience in various construction processes.
- Main duties include working with fireproofing insulation, fiberglass, poly foams, ceilings, etc.
- Insulation experience is an asset but not required.
- We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a supportive approach towards their team, who is also willing to learn and grow with the company.
Skills required:
- Interpreting and reading blueprints.
- Reporting and photographing work progress.
- Strong written communication skills.
- A versatile individual (Jack of all trades).
- Willingness to learn in a dynamic, technically evolving environment.
- Must have own vehicle for commuting.
- Work sites locations include Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, and the Interior. Reporting at the Maple Ridge office when needed
- During the evaluation period, commutes to different sites will be within the Vancouver Metro and Fraser Valley areas.
- For the Long-term job, travel to the Interior BC may be required (The company will cover meals and accommodations)
- Potential relocation opportunities to the interior as the company expands.
- WHMIS and First Aid Level 1 certifications are an asset (required to obtain if not already certified).
- Boom man, lift certification, skid steer, certification also an asset
Salary and Schedule:
- Working hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. (Overtime may frequently be required).
- Starting salary range is $28 to $40 per hour, (DOE).
- Full benefits provided after 3 months.
- Regular working days are Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays depending on urgency of projects.
- Flexibility is essential.
- We cover the cost of training courses (in-person or online) to expand skills and attain new certifications.
