Our client is an established Structural Engineering Firm located in Vancouver seeking an organized, proactive, and personable individual to join our team as a Temporary Office Administrator / Receptionist. Responsibilities:
- Reception Duties:
- Answer and direct incoming calls in a professional manner.
- Manage and sort the general email inbox, ensuring inquiries are promptly forwarded to the appropriate team members.
- Greet visitors (note: foot traffic is low, but we aim to make every guest feel welcome).
- Administrative Support:
- Sort and file documents for ongoing and completed projects.
- Handle courier shipments, including scheduling pickups as needed.
- Assist with proposals and general administrative tasks such as document formatting in Microsoft Office.
- Maintain office organization, ensuring printers are stocked and the staff room stays tidy.
- Project Support:
- Open new project folders, manage associated templates, and keep documentation organized.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks to maintain productivity during slower periods.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with Maria (your main point of contact) to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
Requirements:
- Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Basic organizational and filing abilities.
- Adobe skills would be an asset.
- Experience:
- Prior office administration or receptionist experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is a plus!

Wage: $20 per hour
