Role Impact:As an AP Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s accounts payable processes. By processing invoices efficiently and resolving any discrepancies, you will directly support vendor relationships and maintain operational continuity. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be key in preventing unnecessary payments and optimizing the automated AP system.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Processing approximately 40,000 invoices annually alongside your team of AP clerks.
- Investigating and resolving vendor credits, invoice reversals, unmatched records, and anomalies.
- Acting as a resource for both vendors and internal departments to address challenges.
- Performing specialized and complex check runs.
- Managing system exceptions, including missing vendor numbers or incorrect coding.
- Ensuring accurate coding and approvals for all invoices.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
- Experience: 2–5 years in accounts payable roles, with exposure to high-volume environments.
- Skills: Strong communication and critical-thinking abilities; capable of identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Cultural Fit: Adaptable, collaborative, and able to effectively manage workloads in a team-oriented setting.
- A proactive approach to learning and a commitment to achieving autonomy within three months.
