Role Impact: As the Senior Corporate Accountant, you will play a crucial role in alleviating the workload of the Controller while enhancing the accuracy of financial reporting. Your efforts will ensure the organization is well-prepared for future growth and success.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Manage month-end accounting processes for multiple entities, including reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
- Support the transition to a paperless system and assist with the migration from Yardi Breeze or other accounting software.
- Track development costs and collaborate with project leaders on new initiatives.
- Address a backlog of financial reporting for approximately 25 entities, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
- A strong foundation in full-cycle accounting with at least 5 years of independent experience, particularly in real estate and development.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage large volumes of financial data accurately.
- Proficiency in real estate accounting software and quick adaptability to new systems.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to identify areas for process improvement.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with the Controller and other team members across multiple entities.
