One of our automotive clients in the Brampton area are looking to add forklift operators / Shipper/ Receiver to their team on a full-time basis. As a Shipper/Receiver/Forklift Operator, you will be integral to our warehouse operations, ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes. The ideal candidates will have 3-4 years of experience in automotive or similar , and can commit to a full 40 hour work week.

All applicants are welcome, but this role is not currently open to students.

Shift Details: Rotating Shifts - Days, Nights, and Afternoons

Rotating Monday- FridayDays 7am - 3pm; Afternoon -3 pm to 11pm, and Nights - 11pm to 7am

Pay: $21-$24/hour starting

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers to move materials and products safely within the warehouse.
  • Efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate areas.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
  • Pull and prepare products for shipments, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Perform duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
  • Efficiently move products from staging and/or storage areas into truck or trailer.
  • Load, unload, move, stack and stage products and materials using a forklift function as required.
  • Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
  • Required Daily to inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following the prescribed work methods.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories and ensure proper stock rotation.
  • Report any hazard to Supervisor right away.
  • Handle all materials in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to Health and Safety and Housekeeping policies.
  • Support press, welding and packaging department when required.
  • Perform other duties as required by Management.

Experience

  • Previous experience operating forklifts or similar shipping/Receiving equipment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Basic math skills for accurate order processing and inventory counts are essential.
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues effectively.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently as required by the role.

Requirements :

  • Current lift truck certification.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Competent lift truck operator with a solid understanding of related safety regulations.
  • Minimum 3 year experience operating a tow motor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent English skills both oral and written.
