Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Operations/Logistics Assistant Admin for one of our clients, a leading provider of environmental solutions and services. As an Operations Assistant, you will support various tasks to ensure efficient day-to-day operations, from inventory management and shipping/receiving to route optimization and administrative support.
Shift Timings:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Rate:
- $21 to $25 per hour (depending on experience)
Responsibilities -
- Manage the receipt, tracking, and shipping of goods, ensuring accurate processing and documentation.
- Regularly monitor and maintain inventory levels, track stock movements, and ensure proper storage and handling.
- Assist in optimizing delivery routes to maximize efficiency, reduce fuel costs, and improve delivery timelines.
- Maintain comprehensive records for deliveries, shipments, inventory movements, and other operational activities.
- Accurately enter and manage data using Excel, ensuring inventory and shipment information is up-to-date and organized.
- Provide general operational assistance, including light lifting and handling tasks, when needed.
- Experience with Sage 50 is an asset but not a requirement.
Experience
- 4-6 years of experience in an operations, logistics, or administrative support role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, reporting, and tracking.
- Experience with Sage 50 is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining records and minimizing errors.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
- Physically capable of performing light lifting and handling operational tasks.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and optimize operational processes for improved efficiency.
