Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
Please note that this role is currently not open to students or temporary workers.
Duties
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions efficiently.
- Conduct payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
- Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Execute account reconciliation tasks to ensure all financial data is accurate.
- Analyze accounts to identify trends, discrepancies, or areas for improvement.
- Prepare financial reports as needed for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts as required.
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage is essential.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and bank reconciliation processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to perform account analysis and maintain accurate financial records.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and management.
- Previous experience as a clerk or in a similar bookkeeping role is preferred but not mandatory.
