We are currently looking for an Industrial Millwright to support and maintain a continuous production operation. The successful candidate will be able to help with repairs including routine preventative maintenance and the optimization of equipment safety, efficiency and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshoot and repair machines and equipment
- Install, align, dismantle, and move machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- Optimize equipment safety and reliability
- Participate in continuous improvement projects including the installation and commissioning of machinery
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings
- Compliance to regulations and procedures to maintain the highest levels of health and safety
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
- A valid Industrial Mechanic / Millwright trade license (433A).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to process equipment, and a solid understanding of industrial controls, pneumatics, hydraulics and manufacturing electrical systems
- Ability to read drawings, blueprints and specifications
- Strong communication skills including the ability to work independently with minimum supervision, or within a team environment
- Able to work rotating day/afternoon shifts to support a continuous operation
- Flexibility to work overtime as required
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs
