Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and Dispatching:
    • Assign and dispatch personnel, vehicles, or equipment to specific locations based on service requirements.
    • Create and update daily schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Monitoring and Communication:
    • Track the status of dispatched personnel and vehicles to ensure timely service delivery.
    • Maintain clear communication with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via phone, email, or radio.
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Address service delays, vehicle breakdowns, or other disruptions, providing swift solutions to maintain operations.
    • Anticipate potential issues and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all dispatch activities, schedules, and communication records.
    • Generate reports to analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
  • Customer Service:
    • Act as the first point of contact for clients and ensure their needs are met with professionalism.
    • Handle inquiries, complaints, and feedback, striving to exceed customer expectations.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure all dispatch activities comply with company policies, regulations, and safety standards.
    • Collaborate with the team to promote a culture of safety and efficiency.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in [Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field] preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving: Adept at making decisions under pressure and resolving issues in real time.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and build positive relationships.
  • Flexibility: Availability to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, as needed.
