Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk with a background in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing incoming payments, managing invoices, and ensuring timely collections. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Process and record incoming payments in the accounting system.

Generate and distribute invoices to clients in a timely manner.

Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure accuracy.

Follow up on outstanding invoices and coordinate collection efforts.

Communicate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.

Prepare aging reports and provide updates on account statuses.

Assist in month-end closing activities related to AR.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial records.

Maintain organized and up-to-date records of transactions.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of AR experience, preferably in the construction industry.

Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Software Proficiency: Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Viewpoint, or similar).

Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and effective communication abilities.

Knowledge: Familiarity with lien waivers, progress billing, and construction invoicing is a plus.
