Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and Dispatching:
- Assign and dispatch personnel, vehicles, or equipment to specific locations based on service requirements.
- Create and update daily schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Monitoring and Communication:
- Track the status of dispatched personnel and vehicles to ensure timely service delivery.
- Maintain clear communication with team members, clients, and other stakeholders via phone, email, or radio.
- Problem-Solving:
- Address service delays, vehicle breakdowns, or other disruptions, providing swift solutions to maintain operations.
- Anticipate potential issues and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all dispatch activities, schedules, and communication records.
- Generate reports to analyze performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
- Customer Service:
- Act as the first point of contact for clients and ensure their needs are met with professionalism.
- Handle inquiries, complaints, and feedback, striving to exceed customer expectations.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all dispatch activities comply with company policies, regulations, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the team to promote a culture of safety and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in [Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field] preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or a similar role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving: Adept at making decisions under pressure and resolving issues in real time.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and build positive relationships.
- Flexibility: Availability to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays, as needed.
