Express Employment Professionals in Guelph is recruiting for a Powder Coating Systems Operator for one of our valued clients.
Position Summary:
New exciting opportunity! We are looking for a highly motivated and technically adept individual responsible for optimizing automated powder coating processes. Focus on maximizing equipment performance and product quality while collaborating with a team to refine coating techniques for diverse applications. Contributes to the development of new products by continuously improving coating technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee booth cleaning, powder station setup, and programming.
- Work with engineering to optimize powder application settings for diverse products and powders.
- Implement initiatives to enhance coating quality and maximize productivity.
- Ensure consistent chemical balance and pressure across all seven stages for optimal substrate preparation
- Adhere to preventative maintenance schedules for peak performance and quality.
- Replenish production lines with necessary materials.
- Report equipment malfunctions, material supply concerns, and quality deviations promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
- Operate equipment according to SOPs and QA procedures. Conduct inspections and record data in SAP.
- Conduct initial and in-process quality inspections.
- Report concerns and request assistance from leadership as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Electrostatic Powder Coating
- Post-secondary education in a related technical field
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with minimal supervision
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines
- Experience changing over automated paint systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
