Express Employment Professionals in Guelph is recruiting for an Industrial Painter & Coater for one of our valued clients in Fergus, ON!
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in enamel coating to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, selecting and mixing paints, operating and maintaining painting equipment, applying paint using various methods, ensuring quality and safety, and applying decorative finishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee booth cleaning, powder station setup
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, washing, stripping, sanding, removing corrosion, and filling dents.
- Ensure consistent chemical balance and pressure across all seven stages for optimal substrate preparation
- Select and mix paints according to specifications and formulas, utilizing paint mixing equipment.
- Operate and maintain spray paint equipment (airless, air-assisted, hand-held)
- Apply paint using various methods, including spraying, brushing, and touch-up techniques.
- Clean and maintain painting equipment, ventilation systems, compressed air lines, and personal protective equipment.
- Adhere to safety and quality guidelines throughout the painting process.
Qualifications:
- Background in a fabrication or manufacturing setting.
- Forklift certification and overhead crane experience.
- Physical strength, hand-eye coordination, concentration, focus and endurance.
- Ability to utilize necessary tools and machines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have a car
