Our client is a growing business located in Hamilton, ON. We specialize in providing our customers with quality aftermarket pump parts, repairs, and related services. We are currently looking for a technician to join our growing team and help with our corporate growth goals.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technical support, with expertise in handling various tools and equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of systems and devices, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Duties
- Operate coordinate measuring machine
- Produce 3D models using SolidWorks
- Produce machining drawings
- Read blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates
- Work with sales teams to prepare estimates and bids for clients
- Place and expedite vendor purchase orders
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Prepares shipments for delivery
- Receives and inspects incoming materials
- Assist with general shop duties as required
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- Candidate must have a minimum of a technical diploma in a related field or demonstrate a satisfactory level of knowledge gained through previous experience
Minimum Previous Experience:
- Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related field.
Minimum Additional Training:
- Experience with CAD software (Solidworks)
- Experience with Microsoft office
- Experience with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
