Location: Waterloo, ON
Pay: $60,000 (depending on experience)
Shift: 9am-5pm (Monday to Friday) 

We are assisting our esteemed financial planning firm in Waterloo to find an Insurance Services Coordinator who will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth functioning of the insurance services department. Our client has been successful in business for over 40 years and is growing again! This company offers a personalized approach to financial planning for individuals, families, and businesses.

 

Insurance Services Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Handle initial client inquiries and arrange essential client meetings.
  • Maintain precise records of client information.
  • Retrieve daily statements and insurance notifications from carrier websites.
  • Prepare insurance illustrations and quotes for clients to review.
  • Prepare paperwork required for policy changes.
  • Prepare claim forms.
  • Prepare and submit insurance applications, illustrations, and policy change forms electronically using DocuSign or carrier portals.
  • Communicate with insurance carriers throughout the underwriting process, managing new business applications from submission through to final approval and settlement.
  • Coordinate the procurement of underwriting requirements as necessary.
  • Conduct thorough contract reviews to ensure accurate issuance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Insurance Services Coordinator Qualifications:

  • This position is 100% in-office and is a client-facing role.
  • Exceptional English comprehension (verbal & written), strong communication skills (via telephone, email, and in-person), high sense of urgency, and customer service required.
  • Capable of staying calm under pressure and working in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with other team members.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the insurance or investment services industry is preferred. LLQP license would be a definite asset.
  • Prior education in finance, business administration, or a related field is also considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Reliable, punctual, and honest.
  • Clean criminal background/Credit check required.
  • Must be able to pass credit check.
