Location: Waterloo, ON
Pay: $30/hr
Shift: Monday – Thursday (Day) 7:00am-4:30pm Friday 7:00AM – 11AM
Position will lead to permanent and long-term employment for the right candidate!
Our client in Kitchener is looking to add a Custom Welder to their dynamic and growing team! The position requires a high degree of adaptability to keep up with changing production priorities in a fast-paced environment and able to work efficiently in a team setting.
Responsibilities:
· Read and understand fabrication shop drawings.
· Layout, fit, and weld prefabricated components, sub-assemblies and complete structures within given tolerances and specifications.
· Fabricate pedestrian and vehicular truss bridges, welded wide flange highway bridges, and other large size custom components and assemblies.
· Produce high quality accurate jigs and fixtures.
· Quality control checks, deburring, labeling, and packaging of finished parts.
· Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, overhead cranes, setup and operate common fabrication equipment.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Welder role; custom fab exposure considered definite asset.
· CWB certification in FCAW Flat position preferred.
· Demonstrated knowledge of safety protocols and practices within a fabrication shop.
· Forklift experience preferred.
· Comfortable lifting up to 50lbs and in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent English comprehension (verbal & written) and hand-eye coordination.
· Steel toe work boots required.
· Reliable, punctual, and honest.
