Responsibilities:
- Run comprehensive diagnostic tests and thorough inspections on heavy trucks and trailers.
- Utilize your expertise to diagnose electronic problems related to transmissions, brakes, and engines.
- Skillfully troubleshoot and perform necessary repairs on various mechanical and electronic components.
- Conduct meticulous inspections and testing of mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions.
- Employ computerized systems and testing equipment to accurately diagnose faults and malfunctions.
- Perform thorough evaluations and efficient repairs on transmissions, brakes, and engines.
- Document all maintenance and repair activities using the shop's computer system.
- Examine equipment and address deficiencies through timely repairs and replacements.
- Execute preventative maintenance routines to enhance equipment performance and longevity.
- Conduct provincial annual inspections as required.
- Test equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Apply your diesel engine repair expertise to fuel injection, lubrication, cooling, and exhaust systems.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of tools for diagnostics and repairs.
- Adaptability to address various challenges in a dynamic work environment.
- Hardworking and driven with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
- Physically fit, capable of lifting up to 50lbs, and enduring extended periods of standing, sitting, or lying.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in 310T work.
- High school diploma or GED Equivalent, along with a valid 310T mechanic ticket.
- Comprehensive knowledge of diesel engine repair, including fuel injection, lubrication, cooling, and exhaust systems.
