Job Title: Estimator
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years or equivalent experience

Job Description: As an Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately assessing and forecasting project costs for various construction endeavors. You will utilize your expertise to provide economic feasibility studies, preliminary estimates, and advisement on tendering procedures. Your role will involve liaising with stakeholders, interpreting blueprints, and maintaining cost monitoring systems to ensure projects remain within budgetary constraints.
Tasks:
- Prepare estimates of labor and/or material costs
- Estimate general expenses and overheads
- Conduct economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
- Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
- Estimate pre-contract costs and utilize quantity take-off procedures
- Provide advice on tendering procedures and analyze tenders for award recommendations
- Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
- Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
- Maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors
- Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors regarding changes and adjustments to cost estimates
