Job Title: Business Development Representative (BDR)

Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our client's team. This role is pivotal in expanding our customer base and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a deep understanding of the sales process, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to identify and cultivate new business opportunities.

Objectives of the Role:

  • Represent the company’s comprehensive range of products and services, leveraging in-depth knowledge and consumer research to explain how our solutions meet customer needs.
  • Generate leads and build strong relationships by nurturing warm prospects and identifying new sales opportunities.
  • Maintain an organized pipeline of interested prospective customers and involve the sales team in the next steps to secure deals.
  • Monitor emerging projects and identify key stakeholders and companies involved.
  • Proactively seek and recommend strategies to identify potential clients and market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize CRM tools like Pipeliner, alongside cold calling and email outreach, to identify and generate new sales opportunities.
  • Assess the needs of prospects and recommend suitable products or services to meet those needs.
  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify them as viable sales opportunities.
  • Actively seek new business opportunities within the market to maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Schedule meetings or calls between prospective customers and the sales team to advance opportunities.
  • Report regularly to sales management with performance updates, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly results.
  • Organize and coordinate company promotional events such as trade shows, industry gatherings, networking events, and group activities.
  • Serve as the first point of contact with prospective customers, delivering a professional and positive impression of our company.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of exceeding lead targets and sales quotas.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Pipeliner or similar platforms).
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial construction is an asset.
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry is considered a bonus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both over the phone and via email.
  • Creative problem-solving approach with robust analytical skills to identify and nurture potential customers.
  • Proven ability to organize and execute promotional events.
