Job Description:
We are seeking a versatile and dynamic Field Project Leader to join our client's team. This role demands a hands-on professional with a strong technical background and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. The successful candidate will oversee the construction, commissioning, and servicing of highly automated thermal processing lines, working closely with subcontractors, technical teams, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and timelines to ensure timely and efficient execution.
- Equipment Testing: Perform mechanical and electrical testing of equipment and systems to ensure functionality and quality standards.
- Field Supervision: Oversee the construction, commissioning, and servicing of thermal processing lines, ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Manage and coordinate subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals and schedules.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, instruction manuals, and other project-related documentation.
- Specification Writing: Develop equipment specifications and release material demands as needed.
- Combustion Systems: Set up and troubleshoot combustion systems to optimize performance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 1–2+ years of field experience in project management, construction, or a related technical discipline.
- Proficiency in software tools such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks (3D modeling), and MS Project is considered an asset.
- Engineering degree or technology diploma is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with mechanical, electrical, and combustion systems.
- Excellent organizational, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Ability to work on-site, including extended periods on your feet.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel as required to project sites.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take on varied responsibilities.
