Job Full Description
Our client, located in the South end of Ottawa, is currently looking for a G Class Driver to join their team. In order to be considered, you MUST hold a valid G Class License in Ontario, a clean Criminal Record and a Clean Driver’s Abstract.

Required skills and qualifications:
- 1-2 years’ experience operating a commercial vehicle (Cargo Van, Cube Van, or larger)
- Must have previous related experience
- MUST be able to lift up to 50lbs on own
- Ability to work independently / in a team
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to listen to instructions
- Must have good knowledge of the Ottawa and surrounding areas (Ottawa Valley)
- Must have a CLEAN criminal record and Driver's abstract
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Safely operating a cube van or 3-ton truck to deliver merchandise in the Ottawa Valley area (may be required to deliver as far West as Kingston and as far East as Hawkesbury)
- Lifting up to 50lbs – Unloading products manually from truck at client sites
- Using manual pallet jack or dolly to unload larger batches of products
- Completing pre and post truck inspection reports
- Reporting any truck defects or required repairs to management when needed
- Working in all weather conditions
- Assisting co-workers in the warehouse as required (15-25% of time)
- Other duties as assigned
The wage for this position starts at $20.00 per hour.
Hours: 6:30am – approx. 3:00pm. Schedule: Monday – Friday (no weekends or evenings)
The ideal candidate is someone who is reliable, resourceful, and efficient. We are looking for someone who can start ASAP.
