Our client, located in Stittsville, is currently looking for an SMT Operator to join their growing team. Recent graduates from the listed programs below are welcomed!

Required Skills and qualifications:
- College Diploma in Electronics or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
- 1 year experience running SMT equipment a strong asset
- Keen attention to detail
- Understanding of SMT quality standards (IPC-A-610) to perform SMT in-process inspection is ideal
- Awareness of PCB handling processes, ESD practices and IPC-610 standards a strong asset
- Knowledge of JUKI a definite asset
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills
- Strong English communication skills
- Comfortable working evening shifts (Monday to Friday - 3:00pm to 11:00pm) or overnight shifts (Monday to Thursday - 10:00pm to 8:00am)
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Setting up / operating SMT equipment to manufacture complex electronic products following drawings/schematics, procedures, and other process documentation to a high quality and in a highly productive manner
- Load / unload feeders
- Interface with Engineering and Management personnel to report issues and relay potential process improvements
- Use of PC-based software tools on the SMT equipment to maintain tooling database
- Other duties as assigned
The starting wage for this position ranges from $19.00 - $25.64 per hour, depending on experience. There are also shift pay premiums - 10% for evening shifts and 15% for overnight shifts.
Available Schedules:
Evening shifts: Monday to Friday - 3:00pm to 11:00pm; OR
Overnight shifts: Monday to Thursday – 10:00pm to 8:00am
