Job Full Description
Are you a creative, out-of-the-box thinking social media rockstar with a passion for social impact? We're looking for a talented Social Media Coordinator to join our clients’ dynamic team! As a key player, you'll leverage your expertise to drive meaningful conversations, build vibrant communities, and promote positive change across Canada. This is a 1 year contract with the possibility of permanency.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy
- Create and curate high-quality content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Generate ideas for campaigns, contests, and promotions.
- Respond to comments, messages, and mentions promptly and professionally
- Foster relationships with followers, influencers, and partner organizations
- Maintain a positive online environment
- Monitor social media metrics to track performance
- Analyze trends to optimize content strategy
- Promote programs, initiatives, and resources
- Serve as a brand ambassador.
- Other duties as assigned
Required skills and qualifications:
- High School graduate with preference towards higher education in marketing, communications, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in social media management, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), analytics platforms, and graphic design software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with diverse audiences in a professional and empathetic manner
- Demonstrated understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices
- Passion for safety and community engagement, with a commitment to promoting positive change
- Other duties as assigned
Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:00pm
Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year ($28.21 to $33.33 per hour)
