Job Full Description
Our client, a boutique public accounting firm in Orleans, is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Preparer (T1) to support their team during the busy tax season. This is a full-time, in-office contract opportunity until April 30, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file personal income tax returns (T1) with accuracy and efficiency
- Review tax returns prepared by junior staff, making necessary corrections before final review
- Ensure compliance with Canadian tax laws and identify applicable deductions and credits
- Address client inquiries
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards
Required Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of personal income tax preparation experience
- Proficiency with DT Max or Taxprep software
- Strong understanding of Canadian tax regulations and filing requirements
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong English communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Must be able to work on-site full-time (no hybrid/remote options)
The starting wage for this position ranges from $30.00 to $35.00 / hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
