We're seeking a reliable and skilled General Labourer/Forklift Operator to join our client's team in Vars. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Handle and move heavy metal parts using a hoist system
- Classify and organize equipment parts as required
- Prepare assembly kits for construction equipment
- Prepare lifting cylinders for shipping
- Review work orders to ensure accuracy of items requested
- Remove residue and burrs from edges of parts
- Operate a forklift on a daily basis
- Other duties as required
Credentials:
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and use basic tools for assembly tasks
- Previous labour experience
- Previous forklift (FL) operating experience
- Mechanically inclined with ability to understand and perform basic assembly tasks
- Must have own vehicle as public transportation is not available in the area
- Ability to work at a fast pace
- Strong commitment to safety protocols
- Team player with excellent collaboration skills
- Diligent, punctual, and able to follow instructions carefully
- Previous manufacturing experience is an asset
- Bilingualism is considered an asset (English and other languages)
The wage for this position starts at $22.12 per hour.
Hours: Monday to Thursday – 6:30am to 5:00pm
