Our Pickering client, an established Alarm & Security Company, is looking for a Security Technician (Installer) to join their growing team!

Responsibilities:
- Install CCTV, access Control and Intrusion hardware cabling on commercial and residential properties
- Troubleshoot and test installed equipment and provide basic programming
- Perform maintenance and repairs on installed equipment
- Monitor all access points to maintain network security
- Issue ID’s and monitor access for employees and daily visitors for appropriate levels of security
- Assist clients with creating passwords
- Collaborate with engineers and architects on security requirements of new projects
- Drive to different client sites (80% within Durham region, 20% within Ontario)
- Use ladders to install cameras and alarms
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2 years of Security Technician and Installation experience
- Experience installing devices and programming systems
- Experience using hand and power tools (impact drills, concrete drills & saw)
- Valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
- Excellent attention to detail skills
- Able to work within a team environment and independently with minimal supervision
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience in Skilled Trades or Construction (asset)
- High school diploma / GED / or equivalent preferred
Compensation and Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Pay Rate: $25-30 per hour (based on experience)
