Job Full Description
Our Pickering client, a leading international manufacturer and distributor of agriculture machinery, is looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join their dynamic team!

Responsibilities:
- Track and maintain employee records
- Manage employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace guidelines
- Maintain electronic and physical employee files, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Track employee performance reviews, sick leaves, and vacation days
- Ensure proper documentation and tracking of workers compensation claims and certifications
- Develop, update, and maintain HR policies to align with federal and provincial legislation
- Ensure company policies follow ESA (Ontario + other provinces), WSIB, and health and safety regulations
- Support full-cycle recruitment (job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and reference checks)
- Ensure new hires receive proper training, orientation and maintain records of all recruitment activities
- Manage and audit HR data in Dayforce
- Collaborate with third-party vendors for system updates, troubleshooting, and improvements
- Provide HRIS training to employees and management to optimize system usage
- Assist in tracking leaves of absence, disabilities (short-term and long-term), and workers compensation claims
- Work closely with the Payroll Specialist to ensure employee records in HRIS are accurate and up to date
- Support year-end reporting and documentation for HR and payroll compliance
- Perform other tasks that may be assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3-5 years of Human Resources experience
- 3-5 years of Full Cycle Recruitment experience
- Experience using Dayforce software
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Docs
- Excellent organization, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good time management skills, self-motivated and good attitude
Bonus Qualifications:
- Pursuing or currently hold CHRP designation (asset)
- Experience in Payroll Processing (asset)
- Experience working with HR policies and employment regulations across different provinces (asset)
Compensation and Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 4:30pm
- Pay Rate: $33.65 – $37.50 per hour
