Job Full Description
Our client in Ajax is looking for a Machine Operator to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:
- Operate slitting machine and/or coil rewinder machine
- Set up, operate and monitor slitting and coil rewinder machines to cut and convert large into smaller finished rolls according to customer specifications
- Package and stack completed rolls onto skids
- Load and unload rolls onto machines
- Troubleshoot machines and report any breakdowns
- Inspect materials for defects ensuring high quality of materials produced
- Use computer software to transfer orders to the machine, report problems with material and report downtime
- Strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous machine operation experience
- Basic computer skills
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Safety shoes
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Team player and able to work with minimal supervision
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience in a production environment
- Able to multi-task
- Forklift experience (asset)
Compensation and Hours:
- Training: Monday to Friday 6:30am – 3pm
- Regular Shift: Monday to Friday 2:30pm -11pm
- Pay rate: $24 per hour
