Installer Role Overview

This position requires candidates to  install various systems at customer locations while maintaining high-quality service and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Stock Receiving & Processing:

    • Unload containers, process, label, and store incoming goods.
    • Inspect goods for damage and ensure accuracy.
    • Maintain accurate records for received items and conduct regular inventory checks.
  • Warehouse Organization:

    • Optimize warehouse layout for maximum space utilization.
    • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely.
    • Oversee preparation and organization of outgoing orders.
    • Double-check orders for accuracy before shipment.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Maintain regular inventory counts and update stock levels.
    • Track and manage warehouse tools and supplies.

Installation Duties

  • Installation Planning & Execution:

    • Read and interpret installation instructions and layout plans.
    • Transport materials to job sites and complete installations of shelving, racking, mezzanine, and automation systems.
    • Ensure installations meet safety standards and are in compliance with local building codes.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues on-site.
  • Documentation & Reporting:

    • Take post-installation photos for documentation and quality control.
    • Communicate any issues or changes on-site to the office for approval before proceeding.
  • Site Maintenance:

    • Maintain clean and organized work sites.
    • Ensure installations are secure, level, and safe.

 

Maintenance and Safety

  • Safety Standards:

    • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
    • Regularly inspect equipment and tools for necessary repairs.
    • Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
  • Vehicle Maintenance:

    • Take responsibility for the upkeep of company vehicles, ensuring they are maintained and cleaned regularly.

Customer Service

  • Client Interaction:
    • Provide excellent customer service during installations.
    • Address any client questions or concerns during and after the installation process.

Team Collaboration

  • Team Coordination:
    • Work closely with the office, warehouse, and installation teams to ensure smooth coordination from warehouse to job sites.

Additional Job Details

  • Travel:

    • Up to one-hour commute to and from job sites (unpaid).
    • Occasional out-of-town or international travel with expenses covered.
  • Working Hours:

    • Flexibility in working hours is required, with early starts or late finishes, compensated as needed.  Generally shift is 8am to 4pm 
  • Company Vehicle:

    • Responsibility for maintaining company vehicles, including handling any infractions.

This job requires a proactive, organized individual with strong leadership abilities, mechanical skills, and a focus on safety and quality customer service. The ability to manage multiple tasks, lead a team, and perform installations with attention to detail is key to success in this position.
