Job Full Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated Accounting Clerk to join their team in Sarnia for an approximately 12-month contract. In this role, you will support the accounting department with a variety of financial tasks, utilizing Sage accounting software. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in a professional environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an Accounting Clerk or similar role (1-2 years)
- Strong proficiency in Sage accounting software is required
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and financial principles
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist in preparing financial reports
- Reconcile invoices, bank statements, and general ledger entries
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Communicate with vendors and clients regarding account information
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
Wage: $21.00 - $22.50/hour
