Job Full Description
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Corporate Accountant with a background in Public Accounting to join our client’s growing team. This in-office position is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to delivering high-quality financial services to a variety of corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements and corporate tax returns
- Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of corporate clients
- Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Prepare and file HST, WSIB, EHT, and other statutory remittances
- Assist with audit preparations and year-end closings
- Use CaseWare for financial statement preparation and file management (mandatory)
- Ensure compliance with Canadian tax laws and accounting regulations
- Maintain strong client communication and handle document requests
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a public accounting firm
- Proficiency with CaseWare is mandatory
- Experience with other accounting/tax software such as QuickBooks is an asset
- Strong understanding of Canadian accounting principles and corporate tax
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and client service skills
Wage: $25.00 - $30.00+/Hour
