Stair Carpenter- Woodworking

Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring for a Stair Carpenter  for our client company in St. Catharines. This company is responsible for cabinet and stair woodworking and installation throughout the Niagara Region. They are seeking an individual who is skilled in Stair Carpentry or Woodwork and can read blueprints. Also, someone who pays fine attention to detail, can thrive while working with a small team and enjoys this line of work. Responsibilities

• Responsible for building staircase and understanding work order
• Responsible For Installation of Staircase
• Ability to use job specific tool to install stairs, hand and power tools, chop saws, measurement equipment
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wooden materials and wood substitutes
• Build foundations, maintain and repair structures in various locations
• Read and interpret blueprints , drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.

Skills for Success

• 2-3 years minimum of Stair Carpentry or Woodwork.
• Ability to work well with a small team and take directions well
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent attention to details
• Ability to meet deadlines and to prioritize jobs
• Ability to get along with others
• G-drivers license with clean abstract (access to driving company vehicle)

Schedule And Wages

• Day shifts (Monday to Friday) 9:00am to 5:00pm
• $22-$26/hour Depending On Experience
