Job Full Description
Our local client is looking to hire a General Labour for their Hot Briquette Plant.
Requirements & Responsibilities of General Labour:
- Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather
- You will be working on a line that produces bricks of steel.
- Check and clean equipment and Plant
- Perform greasing of equipment according to the daily and weekly cleaning schedules and plant engineers
- Operate plant machinery; bobcat, lift truck, chain hoists, etc.
- Other duties as assigned such as while the plant is down including General labour & light maintenance - Examples but not limited to using the jack hammer to break up buildup of metal, digging holes, sandblasting, cleaning.
- Debris can build up on the conveyor or screen, associate will be Lifting/moving items out of the way (could be 5lb bricks of steel off the conveyor), cleaning/sweeping buildup on machines and under conveyor belts. Could be using a shovel to clean the buildup of metal. (5-30lbs).
Compensation & Hours of General Labour:
- pension, benefits, boot allowance after probation
- Room for growth
- Rotating all three shifts (working 7days per week and off two days)
- $22.58/hour day shift
