Job Full Description
Our client is an industry-leading manufacturer of rough terrain forklifts and attachments in Harrow, Ontario. We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Junior Engineering Technologist with experience in product design using CAD modeling applications. The ideal candidate will support engineering and manufacturing operations by developing 3D models, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- CAD Design & Documentation: Develop and maintain 3D CAD models using SolidWorks, create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) in Epicor, and assist in product design, modifications, and improvements.
- Manufacturing & Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to manufacturing teams, support technical publications by reviewing and providing engineering input, and assist with Project Change Management, including documentation and process improvements.
- Safety & Compliance: Safely operate company forklifts and adhere to workplace safety regulations, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and ensure compliance with government regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Collaboration & Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and management, identify challenges, propose solutions, and escalate issues when necessary, and work collaboratively within a team to achieve project goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- College diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong technical writing skills for documentation and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
